Introduction
When disaster strikes, first responders are the first to arrive—and often the last to seek help for themselves. At First Responders Foundation, we’re changing that. Based in South Florida, we provide trained therapy dogs for emotional support and critical canteen services during emergencies. Our mission is simple: to care for the heroes who care for us. Whether responding to a fire, dealing with trauma, or coping with loss, we stand by our first responders—every step of the way.
Mission Statement
First Responders Foundation is dedicated to supporting the emotional and physical well-being of our nation’s first responders. Through trained therapy dogs and essential on-scene rehabilitation services, we serve those who selflessly serve us—ensuring they receive the care, comfort, and respect they deserve.
What We’re Looking For in Board Members
At First Responders Foundation, we’re looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting the emotional and physical well-being of first responders. Whether you’re a retired firefighter, law enforcement officer, mental health advocate, nonprofit professional, or simply someone who believes in our mission—we value your perspective and commitment.
Ideal board members are team players with strong integrity, leadership qualities, and a desire to make a difference. Experience in areas such as nonprofit governance, fundraising, marketing, finance, mental health, or community outreach is a plus—but not required. Most importantly, we seek people who care deeply about our cause and are willing to contribute their time, voice, and expertise to help us grow and serve more first responders across Florida.
